Why Sri and I built RegieGO, and where we’re going next

My bet is that, over the next year, the best sales tools will let AEs bring their own selling style. They’ll feel as easy to use as Claude or ChatGPT, while offering sales-specific capabilities. And they’ll get teams up and running quickly, without year-long integrations led by forward-deployed engineers. That’s the bet behind RegieGO and here’s why Sri and I built it.

Sellers want room to work their way

I’ve spent 35 years in sales, and the best reps I’ve worked with find their own way to win. They try different angles and change direction when something isn’t working, they know when a message needs more thought and when it’s time to call.

But sellers often work across several tools. They find contacts in 1 place, research accounts in another, and write messages somewhere else, then they move everything again to email or call. Some even pay for extra tools themselves. That tells me sellers want more control over their work. They want tools that support their approach, not force them into someone else’s process. Sri and I built RegieGO to bring that work together.

Asking for the work and doing it should happen in the one place

When Sri and I started Regie in 2020, GPT-3 was still in private beta. I brought my experience in sales, Sri brought his experience building machine learning products. We both shared the belief that technology could take on more of the work slowing sellers down.

Since then, we’ve worked on messaging, prospecting workflows, and agents that handle repetitive tasks. The questions sellers need to answer have stayed the same: Who should I contact? Why would they care? What should I say? What should I do next?

Conversational tools make it easy to ask for what you need, but sellers still have to turn answers into action. A draft needs a recipient and an email address. A call script needs a phone number and a dialer. When those pieces live in separate tools, the seller has to connect them.

We saw an opportunity to bring the flexibility of a conversation into a platform where sellers can do the work, too.

Start with your business. Get to the buyers.

RegieGO is an AI prospecting platform for individual sellers and sales teams. It reads your company’s website and suggests companies and roles to target. You can refine those suggestions in chat and get your first prospect list in 10 minutes. If you already have target accounts or a prospect list, RegieGO helps you find relevant people and enrich their contact details.

It also researches buyers and their companies, then prepares emails and call scripts using your company’s pitch and voice. With the whole workflow in one place, sellers can review the messages, ask for changes in chat, and email or call the buyer, without switching tools.

The phone belongs in the workflow

Calling is a big part of a rep’s day, and it deserves more than copying a number into another application.

RegieGO includes a parallel dialer. Buyer research, contact details, call scripts, and previous activity are available as you work through your list. The research you used to prepare an email is there when you call. You can move between channels without rebuilding the context.

For reps, that means fewer steps between finding a relevant buyer and reaching out.

“It works how I work.”

That’s what I want sellers to say about RegieGO. You should be able to change who you target, adjust what you say, and schedule regular tasks by asking in chat. Your judgment still matters. You know your market, offer, and conversations. RegieGO should make that judgment easier to apply. That matters to a founder finding their first customers, an SDR working a territory, or an AE building pipeline alongside active deals. It also matters to leaders who want a shared platform without making every rep work the same way.

Speed matters when it gets you closer to a buyer

A prospect list in 10 minutes is a useful start. But a list only becomes useful when you can find the right person, understand why they might care, and prepare a relevant way to reach them.

A faster irrelevant email is still irrelevant.

We want sellers to spend less time getting ready to prospect and more time reaching people they have a reason to speak with. The opportunity is to combine speed with context, while keeping the seller in control.

Where we’re going next

Our mission is to help sellers reach the right buyers faster, in a way that works for them. Our vision is a platform that understands the business you sell for and carries that understanding through prospecting.

Your ideal customer profile should shape the accounts you find, your research should shape your emails and calls, your pitch and voice should carry through the work. And as your approach changes, your platform should change with it.

We’ll judge our progress by how quickly sellers get started, how much useful work they complete, and how easily RegieGO fits their day.

We also want to hear where the experience breaks down. Where do you leave the platform? What are you still copying by hand? What do you keep having to explain again?

Your answers will help shape what comes next.

Bring an account you want to win

The best way to understand the power of RegieGO is to use it for something you already need to do. Start with your company’s website or bring your own list, find relevant buyers, enrich their details, and prepare your next emails and calls.

Your account includes free credits to find prospects or enrich contacts.

Sri and I have been building toward this for years and I’m excited to get it into more sellers’ hands and see the approaches they bring to it.

You have a pipeline target, now let’s get you selling faster.
